Pocket Park Pop-Up Darkroom

Participants explored the origins of photography through pinhole techniques at a drop-in session at Pocket Park, Southgate Station, on Saturday 16 May. Using upcycled aluminium cans, they built their own pinhole cameras and captured a photograph before watching it develop live inside our bespoke Desk-Sized Darkroom — a tabletop, all-in-one alternative to our full pop-up darkroom, better suited to smaller public spaces — with the process visible throughout via an iPad. All kit arrived by bike and trailer. Designed to be fun and accessible, the session welcomed participants of all ages and skill levels.
