Pinhole Photography For Wellbeing
The North London Forensic Collaborative (NLFC)
Supported by North London NHS Foundation Trust
The NLFC Meaningful Activity Grant has enabled Pinhole London to deliver a 10-month programme of inclusive photography workshops supporting creative health and wellbeing within forensic mental health services. Participants explore analogue photography using handmade cameras, creating powerful images in an on-site darkroom and camera obscura. The sessions encourage creative expression, build confidence, and enable meaningful participation in the arts for people with learning disabilities and mental illness. This collaboration highlights the value of working with VCSE organisations to embed creative health approaches in recovery-focused care, supporting connection, self-expression, and artistic creation through accessible, in-person activities.
