Gainsborough Primary School with Barge FIODRA

PINHOLE LONDON & Barge FIODRA ran a special pilot workshop with Canal & River Trust's explorers team & Y6 pupils from Gainsborough Primary School, Hackney. We went on a journey back to the origins of photography & developed +30 unique prints.

Our project aimed to enable young people to develop technical skills & creativity through exploring the natural & built environment of the canal.

Barge FIODRA was a unique floating arts & entertainment venue that travelled the canals and waterways of England, featuring a wonderful floating darkroom & camera obscura for community engagement projects.

Though the barge has now completed its final voyage, PINHOLE LONDON continues to offer pinhole photography workshops. Email us to discuss school enrichment programmes and workshop bookings.
